Let's Get to Know One Another

Maria Bastardo (she/her/ella) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT#128094) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC #19168) in California. Maria offers therapy in English and Spanish. 

Maria specializes in working with children and families dealing with anxiety, mood disorders, grief, life transitions and trauma.  She also works with neurodiversity (ADHD, ASD). 

In the therapy room, Maria applies principles from Play Therapy, Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). 

Maria is passionate about utilizing bicultural, client-centered and holistic lenses that take into consideration the human complexities and intersectionalities we live in. 

Maria has a background in supporting immigrant communities to overcome trauma, build resiliency, develop healthy relationships and learn new coping skills. Maria also trains community agencies and healthcare providers on intimate partner abuse and its effects.

In her free time, Maria enjoys practicing yoga, pilates, dancing, sunsets and the ocean.
